What is a leased beat?

By hiteckbeats on Oct 26, 2013 in - Comments Off on What is a leased beat?

Basically a leased beat is an untagged song granting you the leaser limited rights, and allowing you to use the beat (or song) for ONE commercial recording or broadcast. This recording can then be distributed at your price for up to 2,500 copies if you’ve chosen the MP3 option during checkout. Selling more than 2,500 copies means you must purchase a new lease. However, you also have the option to sell up to 5,000 copies if you choose the WAV lease option during checkout. And, if you purchase the WAV Trackout Lease, you are permitted to sell  even more copies, up to 10,000. You may also use the beat for non-profit promotional use or demos. You have full rights to record, alter, mix the beat/song in any shape, way, or form (except reselling the beat). You must also acquire new leasing rights if you sell more copies than your original digitally signed contract during checkout. You must also understand that you are digitally signing a contract agreement during checkout when you agree to our “Beat Licensing Terms”.
